Of all the pleasures we reap from
gardening, perhaps the most rewarding
is the luxury of spending a quiet
hour in solitary activity.  In the guise
of hard work -- digging, planting,
pruning, raking, weeding, watering --
we nurture the side of ourselves that
sometimes simply needs to be alone.
